Planting on Wednesday May 22, 2019. We do as much no-tilling on our farm as we can, but after harvesting triticale we like to do some tillage to allow the ground to dry and make a better seed bed. The soil is often wet during harvest and forage equipment causes some compaction that needs to be broken up. This is the process we have used the past few years and had success with.
