1970s vs. Now it’s funny I’ve avoided putting something like oh look how far we have come and my actual thoughts were f**k me the yard is a mess, have we actually come a long way? Maybe looks like it but in reality a family of four needs a farm this size to survive and that’s without staff, back in the day it will have kept more than one family going and a bit further back than the 70s eight milking cows and a couple of sheep would have done the job. Is that progression? I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I’m not saying I’m not proud I love what we are adding to the farm but looking back at old photos makes you realise how big we are all pushed to become. #farmlife #farming #farm #agri #agriculture #cumbria
