Jobbing about this morning going to the feed store as it’s a Monday and OBVIOUSLY we left it late to get a dumpy bag of lamb feed and ran out on Sunday night so on the way a fire engine passed us on the a66 commented about it flying and then on the way up the top road saw all this smoke off the road that runs parallel, the same straw wagon that comes to us had set alight luckily local farmers who are legends anyway jumped in to help and unloaded the effected bales so the majority of them were saved and people just had to wait for all the smoke to blow over, just shows it doesn’t take a lot maybe a passing car threw a cig out.

Talking about sawdust AGAIN seems to be a good topic for people who knew how much sawdust you use was such a controversial subject ha ha. Anyway Johnny comes to mow the tiny field that the tree fell down in a few weeks back.

-A quick rundown if you are new to the channel I’m not from farming, Social media started as a casual interest in photography and farming combined I was a very green city girl and had a very excitable view of farming sharing it with my friends from city areas and it has grown from that into youtube and all other associated platforms below.

in 2009 i had no experience of farming or the realities that came with it. That soon changed when I met my other half Roy, I had a job as a carer and in every spare moment threw myself into farming. I had only ever driven a Nissan Micra and had experience with horses, I learnt the hard way as nobody had the time to show me and soon after arriving I found myself mothering on calves to three quarter bred limmy cows. We spent every available moment on the farm between our day jobs. Fast forward to 2016 two children later we moved into our very own farm overlooking the northern Pennines, Laitha.

I am overjoyed to be a farmer. I feel so fortunate every day to wake up and do what I love and even better share it with the world and hope it inspires more young people to spread their wings and think outside the box the world needs more farmers.
