Now I’m not an influencer, I’ve never been anything much to be fair, I have never had an interest in developing myself as a person in settings I don’t find comfortable so the AHDB circle of none influence is everything I’m not.

I just want to say I’m overwhelmed to be standing anything to do with these cool kids. I was never a high achiever I couldn’t tell the time until year 8 high school. Have never revised for anything as I could never take the information in, I was one of those quiet none disruptive kids who slipped through the net. I got kicked out of college and fired from any office based job I attempted which led to the self worth of a goldfish and a carework job which I thrived on and to this day am proud to have been for so many (badly paid) years.

By some stroke of luck and the stars colliding I found Roy and farming, I don’t just get to dream dreams now we go ahead and build them and I feel chuffed to pieces to be included in this bunch of super inspirational farmers I’m learning a lot already, I’m so pleased I started sharing my farming life online. Everybody wants to make a change but nobody wants to try. Or they just like to slag it off online and do jack sh themselves.

I can’t envisage a life where im not on a farm and this could have been the case so easily. And then what would I have been? How many more young people don’t know that running round knee deep in 🚢 and puddle on a farm is what they are made for? Thousands? A million? how many are pushed into childcare or hairdressing or IT because they never discovered a path into farming?
