1.05pm - Tuesday 21st April 2026 209

This week alone we have had three sets of twins WHATTTTTT and every time I’m surprised 😂😂 two were marked down when they were PD by the vet and this one was a total surprise, she calved the first one herself watched on by me as I’m like an annoying fly to them watching and annoying them all the time, I left her to it thinking well done lass came back a bit later and realised she hadn’t moved even a bit just on the off chance I put my hand in (I don’t even know why I did it) and there were more legs but much further back and inside a big bubble, since she had just calved one enormous calf herself I pulled it forwards as a few hours had gone by and that’s enough time to be worrying something was wrong (or she was just exhausted) this one was equally as huge and to be honest she needed minimal help I think she was just tired, she then proceeded to ignore both calves and refuse them (obviously) it was getting cold and half six by then so I stuck them both in a hot box and gave them warm colostrum to perk them up. She’s looking very bedraggled but she will recover in peace I suppose I’ll put her down in the big shed today 12 stone lighter 😳😳😳😳 imagine carrying round those lumps WOW!!! #farmlife #calving #calf #shorthorn #agriculture #jerseycows #cowgirl
