I Worked 48 Hours Straight To Finish My House

8.00pm - Thursday 8th October 2026 17,802

Drywall installation is finally underway at my $7,000 mansion, but there’s one major problem. The drywall crew has already started hanging sheets, and I still haven’t finished the bathroom plumbing! After months of working on this massive DIY home renovation, I might be the one holding up the entire house construction project.

Before the bathroom walls can be covered with drywall, I need to finish the rough-in plumbing, run new drain and sewer pipes through the basement, install water lines, and get the remaining insulation in place. What I thought would be a straightforward plumbing project is quickly turning into a race against the clock, with the drywall contractors working their way through the house.

Meanwhile, the interior renovation is reaching one of its biggest milestones yet. After months of electrical work, wall framing, Rockwool insulation, and preparing the house for drywall, the interior is finally beginning to take shape. Seeing the walls go up is a huge step toward turning this unfinished $7,000 mansion into a completed home.

But with unfinished bathroom plumbing, a tight construction schedule, and the drywall crew moving faster than expected, I’m running out of time to get everything ready. Can I finish the work before the crew needs to close up the walls, or will this DIY house renovation hit another major setback?
