In today’s video, I start building the first new basement walls in my $7,000 mansion restoration, including tearing out and rebuilding the stair landing and roughing in plumbing. The basement is brutally cold, so we temporarily heat the space and spray foam one room to keep progress moving. All of this work is necessary before a boiler can be installed and radiant floor heat can go in. This is a major step toward finally turning this frozen shell into a livable house.
