Adam Henson begins halter training our young Highland calves at Cotswold Farm Park, taking the first steps towards preparing them for our Highland cattle experiences.
Working with two Highland heifers, Adam introduces the halter for the very first time, using patience, food, and calm handling to build trust. While these early sessions are important, they can also be unpredictable - and sometimes a bit of a rodeo!
Join Adam as he guides the calves through their first lesson, showing how to lead them safely, build confidence, and create a positive experience that will benefit them throughout their lives.
The journey continues as Adam explains why halter training is essential for animal welfare, handling, and future care, especially as these Highland cattle grow larger and stronger.
This episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at British farming, livestock training, and life at Cotswold Farm Park, perfect for animal lovers, farmers, and anyone interested in Highland cattle.
