Adam Henson visits our young Exmoor foals after their first experience with horse whispering training, as preparations begin for our upcoming Equine Weekend at Cotswold Farm Park.
Known as one of Britain’s oldest and toughest native pony breeds, Exmoor ponies are intelligent, hardy, and naturally wary of people. After growing up with very little handling, our foals Rosie and Roxy have spent several weeks away with specialist trainers learning the first steps of trust, handling, and calm behaviour.
Join Adam as he discovers how gentle horse whispering techniques, careful body language, and patience are helping transform these once almost-wild ponies into calm, confident animals ready for future equine experiences at the farm.
From meeting the Exmoor herd out in the paddock to loading the foals for the journey home, this episode offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at British farming, horse training, and life with native pony breeds.
A big thank you to Hartsop Farm for all their hard work and kindness towards our beautiful Exmoors.
