HARVEST 2026 | Did We Make ANY Money?

4.00pm - Saturday 15th August 2026 47,606

Harvest should be the best few weeks of the farming year, the point where you find out whether everything you planted last year was worth it. Join Adam Henson for harvest 2026 at Bemborough Farm in the Cotswolds, after more than a month without rain.

We farm 650 hectares of thin, stony Cotswold ground: winter wheat, winter barley and spring barley, grown in blocks and rotated round fields.. When the weather is with you, it's some of the most rewarding land in the country to farm. When it isn't, there's nowhere to hide.

Adam takes you out to the fields where two New Holland combines are cutting the last of the wheat, into the spring barley to work out whether it's fit to go, and back to the grain store to see what a summer like this one actually does to a harvest.

After a soaking wet 2024 and drought two summers running, this is the third hard year in a row, if you're in the middle of harvest somewhere across the country, let us know in the comments how you've got on, we'd like to hear how the rest of you have fared!

This episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at British farming, arable harvest, and life at Cotswold Farm Park, perfect for farmers, machinery fans, and anyone interested in how our food is grown.
