It was time to move the chickens out of the greenhouse and onto grass. A fox figured out how to get into the greenhouse and killed 11 birds. Instead of securing the greenhouse I decided to move the birds out instead. They now have electric netting, a secure house, and most importantly clean grass.

This year I am only keeping a hobby-size flock as I do more research into egg profitability. My coop design is good, but it could be better. I want to look into breeds, management, light, feed, everything. Without sacrificing the health or well being of the birds there has to be a better way to produce eggs. I'm determined to find it.
