Raising broiler chickens can be fun and rewarding. Part of the fun is all the weird stuff that you're going to experience when you raise chickens. In the summer cornish cross broilers don't fully feather out. Feathers keep them warm and it's already warm outside, hence less feathers.

It can be strange to see a bunch of half naked birds running around. Occasionally you'll get some birds that hardly grow any feathers, those naked birds look really weird.
