The day started with a £500 box of parts… and went downhill fast. The plan was simple - get some set of feed rollers turning.

We chased electrics, followed diagrams that didn’t match reality, hunted for an actuator that seemed to have vanished, traced wires, swapped plugs, and argued over whether the machine actually thought there was metal inside it.

Every solution led to another dead end and we couldn’t get the harvester to run.

Even the ancient “10-years-in-the-hedge” spare feed rollers couldn’t save the day — not until we work out what’s stopping the system from running at all.

This is Part 8 of Project Harvester — stubborn electrics, confused hydraulics, a metal detector with a mind of its own, and a harvester that keeps pushing the test run further away.
