Farm School House Tour & Snake Dance!!!
In this weeks video, I give you a tour of the historic 100+ year-old one-room school house on my family's century Montana wheat farm. My Grandmother went to school there. My Dad went to Sunday School there too. My Grandpa bought the land and the school house when it came up for sale. It just got a new roof too! The blackboards are really long and there are still some old school chairs inside. The old school house was used later as a meeting place for farmers, dances, and card games. It sort of became a community center for a while. Now that most of the families have moved away it is not really used for anything anymore. My Grandpa used to put up Christmas decorations every year until someone started stealing them. The old school bell is now in town in front of the new school. Our schoolhouse also was featured on the cover of National Geographic either in the 70s or 80s but we can't find a copy of it. If anyone has one please let me know. I find lots of really cool rocks in the field. My Dad also told me there was a snake and I almost jumped as high as the old school house!!!!! I hope you like my old school house tour. A little bit of Montana homesteading history. Thank you so much.

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 16-year-old 4th generation farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
