Combine Trouble!!!! Wheat Harvest 2021!!
In today's video I have the only combine running. Our other combine is broken down and being repaired. It feels kind of lonely in the field running the only combine, but at least I get the grain cart to myself!! I am harvesting in a field that is original to our 1912 Montana farm when my great grandfather used horses to harvest. I am so honored to be able to work in the same field as he did 100 years ago. I show you what I'm doing and I also stop so some little birds can move over to another row. We take a look at the combine being repaired. My dad shows where the belt is that broke in the field. Darcy says hello and I talk to Dean about harvest. The drone footage shows the field I am picking up and the views of our Montana farm are amazing. I thank the Vicarri family for the awesome Yeti lunch box and cooler they sent and that I use every day!! I love the pink color and I am very honored to have it. Thank you, America, Avigail, Thomas, Levi, and Rebeka!!!! The winter wheat looks good but we didn't get a final rain and so there is very little grain in the heads of the wheat. Our harvest is down about 50% because of the drought. My dad says that we have has some really great years of harvest and this is to be expected. As usual, we always try to stay positive no matter what because that makes our days a lot nicer!!!! I hope you enjoy my video and thank you for watching!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17-year-old 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
