I'm Picking Rhubarb!!!! Epic Rhubarb Harvest 2022!!!

In today's video, I am back at Lennox Farm to help with the 2022 rhubarb harvest. This is the beautiful and delicious red rhubarb. They have about 90 acres of rhubarb and are in the top 5 rhubarb producers in North America! That's a lot of rhubarb!!!!!! I learn all about planting, growing, and harvesting. I just love picking the rhubarb too!!! The Lennox rhubarb is sold at their farm store and they also provide it for farmers' markets, grocery stores, restaurants, and even the Ontario Food Terminal in downtown Toronto. The really interesting thing is that they don't have much waste. The leaves are left in the field to decompose. They even make rhubarb juice and the pulp is dried and then made into flour. I didn't even know that rhubarb flour existed. This is just the most interesting harvest!!! My Brussel Sprouts Harvest video was at Lennox Farms so be sure to watch it too! My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality.
