Metal Stuck in Dad's Combine Tire!! Big Drought! Harvest 2022

In today's video, we are servicing and greasing our combines before we start the harvest. Dad discovers a huge piece of metal stuck in one of his tires. This is a big problem and we have to call the tire guys. The only way to get service is literally on the top of the combine! I have to climb to the top while Dad gets the tire information that I relay to the tire guy!!!! The big problem comes when I try to give directions to the field we are in. hahaha I think my directions were so confusing that Dad climbed up to the top of the combine to give the directions!!!! Dad is training Arvid who is helping us out with this terrible harvest. Darcy and Steve Wahl are also in the field and our grain cart is still broken down. We are running a skeleton crew because we have to cut our costs as much as possible. I know this harvest is hard for my Dad because we are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars and it is discouraging. I try to be as positive as possible because we just have to do our jobs and get this wheat out of the field. There is no point in complaining because we can't do anything about it. Being positive also helps our crew feel better. We are grateful to Lily for our lunches and dinners too! If you look at my previous harvest videos you can see the big difference in the amount of wheat we are harvesting! We hope and pray that other farmers have good crops to harvest! Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality.
