Soybeans are close but not there yet. They're running 18–19% when we want 12–13. Corn is at 26%, which is about what we expected this early. And after 10 to 12 weeks without rain, the forecast is suddenly full of it, right as harvest starts. Funny how that works.

We also hauled 12,000 bushels into Glenwood after the elevator's basis improved, got high-flow hydrants going in by the shop and grain bins, and found out the hard way that our two bean headers don't hook up to the same combine. Plus a lot of sickle sections.

First day of soybean harvest is coming soon.
