Harvest is finally wrapped up - even after snow covered the last few acres (and yes if you think to yourself I thought in their last video they did this?? Well you'd be correct except Emily found footage on Avery's go pro we had to include).
We finish combining our final snowed-over fields and then shift straight into post-harvest cleanup mode. Avery starts blowing off the combine with a giant air compressor before it heads to the wash bay and then into the shop for a full maintenance check so it’s ready for next season.
While that’s happening, Emily is in the calf barn dialing in our auto feeder, finally starting to see a breakthrough that helps us take better care of our calves with fewer man hours. The goal is simple: calves that survive and thrive.
With winter officially here, Avery is back in full cattle mode, bedding all of our pens and showing how our bale shredder helps get clean, cozy bedding laid down fast - and there’s a lot of pens to cover.
From snowy harvest days to winter cattle chores, this is real farm life as the seasons change.
