After weeks of waiting, it’s finally time to hit the ground running — and we don’t hold back! With four drills working side by side, including the Horsch Sprinter, Horsch Serto 12, and Horsch Avatar 12, powered by the mighty Fendt 1167 and Fendt 942s, we make quick work of covering the land as drilling begins in earnest.
Along the way, James takes a moment off the farm to attend a public enquiry before jumping back in to manage hedge planting, re-planting acorns, and even relocating the beehives. We also take a look at volunteer cereal management, clever cultivation techniques from Adrian over the years, and the logistics of loading and setting up these monster drills.
It’s all hands on deck as we kickstart this crucial phase of the season, with both new and tried-and-tested equipment working in unison.
