Drilling is in full flow, and the team are covering an incredible 350 to 400 hectares a day. In this episode we get into the sheer logistics that makes that possible, from keeping four drills fed to moving well over a hundred thousand litres of water a day to keep the sprayers running when the mains simply cannot keep up.

We also speak frankly about the SFI, after a frustrating experience where issues outside our control left us just minutes to apply before the funding ran out in a matter of hours, and James shares his honest thoughts on how it was handled and what it means for farming businesses. There is better news on the barley, which is emerging nicely, and the new fertiliser yard, which is nearly ready to open.
