Winter finally hit the mountains… and I decided that was the perfect time to head back to my cabin. ❄️
With nearly a foot of snow on the road and freezing temperatures dropping into the single digits, I fired up the side-by-side and made my way back into the woods to keep building.
In this episode of RMF Outdoors, I uncover the SxS, haul in tools, get the heater running, and start framing and sheeting in the loft to create a real bedroom inside the cabin. But with temps dropping fast and night coming, the real question is… could the heater keep up?
I spend the night in the cabin in 10° weather, battling the cold, a failing air mattress, and a half-finished build — all while surrounded by fresh, untouched snow in the mountains.
This is the first true winter test of the cabin, and it was definitely one to remember.
Thanks for watching — I’m Big T, and I’ll see you in the next one.
