What started as a normal day quickly turned into a complete disaster. Our cellar was flooded with water and full of rotten potatoes, so I jumped in the scraper tractor and got to work. We fired up the potato wash plant to try and save what we could, but things only got worse. The Ranger got stuck, we broke a riser pipe, had to dig by hand in the mud, call in the backhoe, and patch up a pressurized water line. All while flies swarmed the cellar and the smell got unbearable. Meanwhile, I had to check on pivots and make sure everything else on the farm kept running. This is real-life farming—mud, chaos, and doing whatever it takes to make it work.
