Around this time every year we turn our bulls out onto pasture so they can start breeding. This means our cows start calving in March and continue for the next two months. These big bulls breed anywhere from 20-35 cows in a season. Today we move 6 bulls, taking 5 to pasture and finish the day by cleaning out the trailer and allowing our yearling bulls onto the concrete in the barn.
