A terrible start to the day and week as we head to the Vervaet Beeteater harvester and it won’t turn over! A bit of playing around with it we decide it’s a starter motor issue and have to go down to south Devon to get a replacement!
Once it’s fitted we’re able to get moving but don’t arrive at the field till 3pm.

All the John Deere tractors are out on trailers: Andrew in his 8R370 on the Bailey high tip while Steve is pulling the Bunning in the 8R410 and Harry pulls the Joskin Drakkar in the other 370.
We then have 4 6R250s pulling Rolland rollspeed trailers.

The harvester then blows an oil pipe after the first trailer that needs replacing before being able to finish the loads!
A wet harvest featuring some deep ruts, good yields of beet and of course more rain.
