A full day Harvesting maize in the hilly landscape of Devon, a mixed crop with some so low/ poor that we had to resort to using the wholecrop header to cut it as the maize header just wouldn’t feed the crop properly - something that we’ve never had to do before!

At the end of the day we are able to utilise using a lorry and trailer in 2 flat dry fields which is a great way to move a greater tonnage in one journey - making the harvest of a poor crop at least a little bit cheaper!

Tough yields to deal with and the return of the dreaded caterpillars that have caused such a headache on the beet crop already!
