A day of wholecrop harvesting for local farmers as well as the AD plant.

We’re cutting wholecrop barley in the village first thing for a local dairy farmer who is a very good customer of ours. Will is in the John Deere 9700i as always with Andrew and Josh on trailers along side a couple of the farms trailers running as well.

Before we head off to the next block to wholecrop Steve does have to help a tractor and trailer out of the ditch in the village alongside the road. A quick pull backwards with the John Deere 8R410 and he’s back on his way!

By late morning the 410 is back on buck-raking duty and is at the AD plant rolling in spring oats once more - this time grown at Chawleigh. All hands on deck for this harvest as the JCB Fastrac is off of the tanker and back on trailers!

We even get a chance to see me very briefly jump into the drivers seat and move the wholecrop header trailer from field to field - just to prove I can do it! 😂
