The Wheat harvest continues, finishing the first and largest block we have to harvest and as expected, the second half of the block is poorer than the first! Including the worst field of wheat Steve and Andrew can remember growing in the last 30 years at least.
And across the 5 fields harvested it’s for sure the worst overall block of wheat grown.
Yields are extremely poor with multiple factors at play but looking at how thin the crop is it’s not wholly down to the drought this summer!

We tidy and clean the grain store and make space for the rest of the harvest to be tipped, set up the blowers and sweep the next shed!
