First thing this morning the John Deere S790 combine harvester is moved to the first field of Barley to be harvested later today. A very tight squeeze but it did make it!

While the crop dried, Will was out in the John Deere 9700i forager wholecropping a local customer’s wheat crop. Trailers for today were 2 6R250s while Andrew manned the header trailer and Tony was on farm buck-raking.

A scary breakdown followed where there was some damage to a few blades on the drum but thankfully no more damage than having to replace 3 blades! It could have been much worse.

The afternoon saw the start of the barley harvest for the year and the combine in full flow. Harry in the 8R370 and Joskin Drakkar trailer hauled the grain back across the farm to the store while Andrew filled in with the small trailer from the farm to fill the gaps.
