Maize harvest for a local customer hits its second and final day as the 9700i John Deere chops through 170 acres. A fleet of John Deere tractors and a New Holland thrown in for good measure run it back to the silage pit.

The AD plant are trying a new technique this year on their silage clamp, where digestate fibre is going to act as the seal to ensile the crop - so we’re moving it up with the telehandler and 8R410 and buckrake. A near miss occurs as the plant’s JCB loading shovel is nearly overturned when moving on top of the silage clamp! Thankfully it’s pulled out by the John Deere!
