After a wet start to the bank holiday, by the afternoon we’re harvesting maize into the local AD plant.
Steve is buck raking and rolling the silage clamp, while Will is piloting the John Deere 9700i forage harvester.
We’ve got all the John Deere tractors running with trailers back to the pit, while Ant in the JCB Fastrac 8330 is tanking digestate with the Samson TG20 slurry tanker.

We have a breakdown in the forager as we discover a crack in the trumpet of the spout - but we’re able to carry on for the day and wait on it to be fixed tomorrow!
