The penultimate day of maize harvest sees a demonstration of the John Deere F9 1000 forage harvester and 490pro maize header.

We’re testing it in multiple types of maize including some poor crops to see how the header deals with varied crops - as if it doesn’t perform in lesser crops it may not be worth the investment!

As ever, the fleet of John Deeres are on trailers alongside the JCB Fastrac and a Fendt 728.

Elsewhere Steve is pulling the Horsch drill up the slopes using all his available horsepower in the 8R410 as he puts grass seeds into maize stubbles.
