Elsewhere the spraying is now of utmost importance as the crops are in the ground and needing protecting whether from weed or disease,
We’ve got wheat, maize, pumpkins and beet to spray all on the same block - and the heatwave and dry weather is leaving us dangerously shy of water so we have to transport water to the block of land on a trailer in IBCs. A tyre blowout on the North Devon Link Road slows us down in getting there, as we have to deal with removing the wheel and getting a replacement!
