The start of a new week sees a major issue, which thankfully didn’t result in an accident either in the field or on the road!

The rim of the Horsch sprayer cracked 80% of the way around leaving it moving on the wheel hub. Thankfully folly noticed the noise and was able to stop before serious damage was done!

We get that wheel off, get it over to a good friend of Folly and Will’s for a good weld to be done before transporting it back to replace. Not the easiest job when it’s in a field and not a flat road/ workshop!

Elsewhere the new rake gets a service before heading out this afternoon to rake up a large acreage of grass for Will to pick up in the John Deere 9700i tomorrow.

The rest of the fleet of John Deere tractors are cultivating, power harrowing and spreading dung to get spring crops sown in good time!
