The power harrow is back on the John Deere 8R370 and the brand new Horsch Maestro 12 row maize drill is back in the ground to round off 2026 precision drilling.

A pumpkin patch goes in the ground after a failure last week to work the ground properly.

Elsewhere we’re going through maintenance on the Domai wholecrop header for the JD 9700i forage harvester - welding new skid plates on and checking through the blades and bed.

A few jobs on oil pipework are done - where we discuss the big ‘whodunnit’ of the winter as a good oil pipe was replaced for a dodgy on on the 7m Kuhn power harrow and no one has stepped forward to own up!

The day ends with a trailer tyre repair job for a friend as they’re working close by and wanted it plugged!
