The day starts with some fabrication in the workshop on a newly designed front weight for Steve’s 8R410 - it will carry a small diesel tank inside it but weigh at least 1500kg when empty!

We then move on to Steve’s favourite job as we’re widening and clearly gateways and hedges to restore some entrances for a landlord!

Maize harvest of our own crop finally starts as we cut into the first fields of a 65 acre block with the John Deere 9700i and fleet of John Deere tractors, Rolland, Bunning and Joskin trailers. We’re hauling this maize to a local AD plant to start the harvest and Steve is buckraking it in with his 8R410
