A hot heatwave hit day down in Devon for our arable farming business. The John Deere’s and JCB Fastrac are out this morning getting jobs done in air conditioned cabs while temperatures touch 35 outside.

We put tanking grass with both Samson slurry tankers getting digestate applied post grass harvesting at the end of last week.
Already there is very good growth on the grass underneath.
We also check on the maize crop which is now flying and touching waist height in places and a lovely dark green colour.

Elsewhere we check in on the new grain store as the bolts are in, the steels have arrived and waiting to be erected.
We clear the concrete panel walls from the old store and transport to the new site first thing this morning.
