We’re straight into 90 acres of grass silage at my uncle’s farm and battling with the 30 degree plus weather as the grass was dropped and has dried to beyond 60% dry matter as we’re trying to pick it up and chop it with the John Deere 9700i forage harvester!
Three John Deere tractors are on silage trailers hauling back to the silage pit as Tony does his best to roll in the fluffy grass - a touch task when it doesn’t want to pack in tight and you have to clean your air intakes on your radiators due to the dry dusty grass!

Elsewhere we’re moving wheat grain to multiple farms to clear the remainder of last years wheat grain harvest as we still have 100t plus in the shed!
