How a new agri tech invention will save time & money.

4.00pm - Sunday 19th February 2023 5,877

We kick off this week’s episode with a report from one of our viewers – dairy farmer Ian Pye from Lancashire.
He gives us an update on the current issues affecting his business.

Olly’s been speaking at a Farmers Weekly event at Harper Adams University and you can watch that here: https://youtu.be/DiWOYduD0H0

Angela also took a trip to the university campus and spent the morning at the Midlands Agritec Innovation Hub. The Agri-Epi centre brings together people who have a new tech idea with organisations who can bring that to life. A prime example of this is SmartBell. A new calf ear tag which delivers upto date information on the animal's health. Therefore enabling preventative medical treatment to be given even before it shows external signs of illness. Find out more details at https://wellcalf.com/

We also learn more about an event coming up on 13th April which is being run by Innovation for Agriculture. Looking at new efficiencies in the industry, you can find out more details here:

Finally we congratulate Stretton Young Farmers on their recent charity tractor run. Over 100 tractors took part and almost £4,000 was raised for the Multiple System Atrophy Trust.
