Labours land grab details below and in the video, one of the most sinister attack on farmers to date.
We’ve been storing a 1956, 20 2HP, grey Fergie for the Farming charity Addington fund. This is the charity which Forage Aid merged with two years ago. This tractor was used at shows on the Addington stand but hasn’t been used for the past Year. The person who put it together has come to collect it and take it away to be auctioned off and the proceeds donated to the charity, he describes how he put it together and the time involved.
Barry is back with us spreading out some soil which he cleaned out a Beck when he was doing some drainage work with us nearly 2 years ago. While we have the excavator, he’s also moving a heap of soil which was dug out of the pond when we first made it about 30 years ago! Because the ground conditions are so dry, it’s a great opportunity to lead it onto a stubble field, spread it out and cultivate it in.
Tom cultivates one of the fields due to come Beans! next year with the solo, without the press. This will be the last cultivations Tom does here before he starts his new job on another farm next week.
I go to London with Rhonda and Lincolnshire County chair to talk to Victoria Atkins and Robbie Moore about the Conservative parties agricultural manifesto and to see if there’s anything they’re missing with regard to Lincolnshire. I chat to Victoria about some alarming compulsory purchase orders with the government are trying to push through Parliament .
Eric visits again from Warwick university to check on the progress of the Capulet baked beans and Godiva and Olivia cooking beans. They are podding up really well and we have a harvest date set now which won’t belong. Eric talks through the three varieties and shows how they differ in the pods and the beans shape size and colour.
