Did you know Lincoln Cathedral holds the record for being the tallest building in the world for the longest period of time?

I belong a Farmers breakfast club, we meet 4 times a year and have speakers. Last week Simon Judge was the guest speaker. Simon is a tour guide of Lincoln Cathedral but instead of just telling us about the history of the stunning building, he showed us!!

I’ve lived in Lincolnshire all my life and didn’t know the current Cathedral is actually the second one, built from 1192, the first one, built from 1072, was virtually destroyed after an earth tremor caused the roof to collapse which itself was a replacement for the original wooden roof destroyed by a fire.

Lincoln Cathedral is one of its kind so please join Simon, myself and some of the Breakfast Club as we hear all about the history from 1072 to today.

I was blown away by what I learnt, made more enjoyable by Simon’s wit and knowledge.
