Another busy week with the completion of harvesting the first field of sugar beet, 50 acres. It was a race against the time to get this cultivated before the forecasted 25 mm of rain.
I go through the results of the first 25 acres into the factory at Newark with the best sugar content and the lowest dirt tares we’ve had for years and I explain how this contributes to better income.
I load out the first wheat sales of the 2025 Harvest which was sold in February and for once much better than the current prices. Due to being worked up and Thursday’s rain, I decided to join Rhonda for a few days away but as you’ll see everything that could go wrong, did!!
