Preparation for next year‘s Cereals Event has started with the arrival of three shipping containers full of all the machinery and Kit needed to set up the event and run it. An impressive lorry with lift arrives to lift the containers in place in the yard.

Harvest is only a day away, but another crop of Chickens has just been completed at the neighbouring poultry farm so mucking out has just taken place and we’ve stored it on one of the concrete Sugar Beet pads.

Milwaukee battery tool area rep brings a range of tools for me to try, some will be really helpful in cleaning grain stores.

Eric comes from Warwick Uni to check on progress of the Haricot and Cannellini beans. He’s really happy despite the very dry weather.

The finishing touches are put to the grain stores to make sure they are ready for harvest. I’ve never seen them so clean, thank you to Justin, Max, Fabian and Stan for doing it in the hot conditions.
The new 24 ton tri axle trailer is filled with wheat from last harvest so the shed can be properly cleaned out.
