How to avoid grain store fires

Harvesting a crop is one thing - storing it is another. Farm manager Andy Crow is cutting the last of his wheat around the field margins, but some is green and unripe. The moisture it contains has the potential to generate heat because of microbial activity and if the conditions are right, it could start smouldering and even set the stored grain alight.
Andy shows us what he does to make sure that doesn't happen - He needs to dry the crop using a drying floor and a powerful fan that blows air through channels under the floor.
