If the Bluetongue virus is on the increase now, during the winter months, what's in store for farmers in a few weeks when the carrier, a blood sucking midge, starts dancing across the UK countryside looking for a meal?
We interview Kent farmer Jeff Gibson who has been living in Bluetongue lock-down since November 2023. Only this week his livestock movement restrictions were lifted. It's been hell for him and the other farmers in his area. He hasn't been able to operate as normal and the lack of guidance from Government has been a huge frustration.
