We saved this soybean field for last for a reason. Branches left from clearing a ditch keep finding their way under the header belts, and finishing the last acres means stopping to dig them back out.
Before that, we get the combines ready and put AutoPath, harvest automation and shared field data to work. Dad and Jim help keep things moving, we finish the 2026 soybeans, and then it's time to clean up and switch back to corn. Dinner with my wife sounds like a pretty good way to celebrate.
