Building our first wall! We are building a weight bearing exterior basement wall and here's what we did WRONG with our wall build
We had hoped to hit the ground rolling, but the only thing rolling were the dollars and our eyeballs!
Our NEW DIY Modern Barndo has a GREAT FOUNDATION . . . but will we RUIN the REST of the build?
Between awful lumber deliveries and bad calls on our end, we are already slated to FAIL our deadline of 2 years . . . and this is JUST the SMALL WALL . .

We'd LOVE to build it fully from the ground up, but sadly our local township only allowed us TWO YEARS to fully complete our home, so it's a race against time to try to get everything done BOTH with professional help AND on our own!
Building half of it on our own allows us a MASSIVE savings with our budget and makes this unique home design actually affordable!
We started with a low cost floor plan, to make this an affordable barndominium and learned how to save money on a house build.
