Painting with brains! It's actually quite relaxing, and if you get a bit hungry you have some dip for those chips!

I would say that for me, I would learn brain tanning hair-on hides much faster having a hands-on tutor to show me how to get the right "feel" for the various steps. But despite all my failures I'm gonna keep trying until I get it! Or I'll make it into buckskin clothing!
