The final day of wheat harvest is here… and it almost didn’t happen.

After 15 long days of running combines, grain carts, trucks, dust, storms, and everything else harvest can throw at us, we’re finally down to the LAST fields of wheat.

We got rain overnight and more storms moving in throughout the day, so we decided to keep harvesting until the weather forced us to stop. The wheat was yielding anywhere from around 40 bushels to 130 bushels per acre, and we were racing the storms and the clock to get as much harvested as possible.

Then, just when it looked like the day was winding down, we got an incredible harvest sunset.

The straw eventually got too tough from the rain and we had to call it quits — but after 15 days of wheat harvest, we're calling that a successful season.

And now there's no time to rest… because we're heading straight into potato harvest.
