Day 11 of wheat harvest and we are finally getting close to the finish line! We officially dropped below 1,000 acres of wheat left, and today we’re trying to make a huge push toward getting this harvest wrapped up.

The wheat was a little questionable after a quick rain, but thankfully the kernels were dry enough to keep harvesting. We were cruising along at nearly 4 mph in some fields, but keeping the combines moving wasn't always easy. With multiple semis full, one truck having a tire issue, and a few stretches where we were completely stopped waiting for trucks, there was plenty going on.

Then, just when things were rolling, the combine threw us another curveball. A massive bolt broke on the unloading auger, leaving us scrambling to find a temporary fix so we could keep harvesting. Thankfully, the guys came through with a pin that got us back in business.

We also had to navigate hand lines, canals, incredibly short rows, and even squeeze the combine down the road and across a tiny ditch to get to the next field.

By the end of the night, we were getting everything ready for tomorrow because we’re finally getting our chance to demo the new Case IH AF10 combine for an entire day. We're going to put it to work and see what it can really do!
